Ok, have a 206 cc 2.0 and would like a spare wheel - preferably something I can put in the boot for that rainy, puncture ridden, day. I have absolutely no idea what I should be looking for - apart from a duplicate of what I currently have on all four corners.
Advice - and a tyre - appreciated.

well you can get a spare alloy and tyre, however thats the most expensive option at around 200 quid + from a peugeot dealer
You could go down you local scrappy and pick up a steel wheel from a 206 with a new tyre for about 40 quid which wud do the job
hope that helps

I had 2 new tyres last week - one of them still had 1500 miles on it so i got em to stick it in the boot.
When people upgrade to alloys from steel wheels on whatever pug the dealership uses the factory fit tryes on alloys from stock, then apparently throw the old steelies away. My intention is to get hold of one of these steelies (as long as it fits - some pugs are not interchangable) and have my old tyre fitted to it. Then if i am local and have a puncture i can get a lift home, pick up said wheel (which will be stored in the garage - im not putting it in the boot) and not have to use the tyre destroying foam!
If i'm not local or if the punctured tyre is knackered anyway then i will just use the foam.

Whoo hoo
Thanks all. What a fast turn over of answers for my question! Rob if you are about, would you be able to help me out if you can?
If not will go down to my local scrappie as suggested.
Definitely not going to the peugeot garage though. Even I know better than to do that. ::glances at her arm and her leg::
Cheers folks
