Whining Climate Control

I have just bought a 2001 206cc SE and the air con is making a loud whining sound which is adjusting with the speed of the motor, has anyone else recorded this problem, my warranty (original) runs out on the 24th BTW

TAKE IT IN TO BE CHECKED BEFORE THE WARRANTY RUNS OUT!!!!!!!!!
