Hi, Has anyone replaced the brake pads yet for the 206cc? Has anyone replaced them with brake pads from a non-peugeot source e.g. brake pads from Kwik Fit?
Do these pads squeak like the peugeot ones?
Can anyone recommend any pads?
Thanks

I've had mine replaced under warranty with new Pug ones and they're still squeak free 800 miles later...

Well I've been told my local garage (city motors, Newcastle) that there is no cure for the squeaking of the brakes and that they wanted to charge me £35 for cleaning the dust of the brakes as its not covered by warranty. This will only cure the squeaking temporarily.
I've now ordered some Greenstuff pads to see if this will make a difference.

New member - so pleased to have found your site. Had my PUG 9 months now - had squeaky brakes seen to in Nov, Jan, Feb and April and guess what - they've come back again. They only squeak when I reverse. Has anyone else had that?? I've heard it's to do with lack of asbestos in pads. How can we sort this out?

Try getting hold of some copper grease and then putting it on the back of the brake pads. Careful not to get any on the discs or front of the pads otherwise you'll have no brakes.
