I have a 206 1.6. Yesterday my engine management light came on and although i drove it home on a 50mile journey and there were no problems the light is still on. I've called peugeot and they say it will cost 99 pounds ex vat just to look at it... has anyone got any idea what it could be? whats the first thing i check before I take to peugeot and get ripped off?
Thanks in advance

had similar problems on my 206....discovered that it was only some time after I had 'filled it to the brim' with fuel. The word is not to fill it to the top i.e. once the fuel filler cuts off, leave it at that.
A friend had similar probs, he has a 1 in 10 incline that he reverses up to garage his car....the incline give this prob. from timt to time. The Peugeot people simply clear the recorder log if the fault register does not state the fault in detail.
