I have had my cc for nearly a week now. I have noticed whenever i am driving it hard and snap it from 1st into 2nd the passenger side wheel spins and the steering wheel is grabbed in that direction. Scared me the first few time it did it but I compensate for it now.

Does anyone else have this problem, or know what is up with it. Is it trying to make me pull over to a petrol station??!!

Steve

Sounds like too much "Gone in 60 seconds" and "The fast and Furious" to me!

Guilty as charged...but I think there is a serious underlying problem other than my well heavy right foot...?

nah not sure if it is a problem. I had the same problem along time ago with an astra and took it to the garage, but I'm told that it's all to do with the way the engine powers the wheels. (exscuse me if i get the wrong but I'm no mechanic) off the two front wheels the drive to em comes down on the left, so there is slightly more bia on the left hand wheel. hence if you drive in a stright line no hands and put the power down, the car will pull to the left.

at least that's what they told me

Yeh - sounds like torque steer to me.

It caught me out for the first few weeks having driven a rear wheel drive car for the previous 2-3 years.
