Hi.. Any help would be appreciated.
Yesterday I was taking a short drive and the car began flashing and beeping telling me to stop as the engine coolant was too hot - the temp guage was as high as it can possible go. I stopped the car left it for about 15 mins and restarted it, the guage was still as high as it could go. After lifting the bonnet I noticed that the water was still visable in the filler tank thingy and the fan was or seemed to be working hard. I left the car for another 15 mins while frantically ringing green flag to come and help me. While waiting for them to arrive I tried the car again and yes the guage was still in the red but the on board display was flashing that an Anti pollution error or something like that.
Green flag arrived said they couldn't help and towed the car to the nearest Peu garage as the car is only 18 months old and still under warranty. Peu said nothing and told me I'd have to wait about 5 days for the car to be looked at and then possibly 2 weeks for a repair... Not happy as they won't give me a car to use and now I have to hire a car until they can sort it out.
Any idea what can be causing this overheating issue. Like I said before the car is only 18 months old could it be the sensor thing that I've been reading all the posts about?
Any help would be appreciated.....
Thanks Sarah
