HELP!!! Economy Mode Active on 24hrs now!

Hi Newbie here..

I really need your wise words of help!!
Cut a long story short come out of work went to start the car NOTHING! Dead!!:firedevil:
Went into Economy Mode Active, so called the green flag out, couldn’t get it started so towed me home, had battery on charge to see if this work help which it did last time (month ago) started the next day!
But NO! not this time!:evil:
So still in Economy Mode Active, so went and bought a new battery thought maybe that’s the problem. ( battery 7yrs old)
Changed it nothing still showing Economy Mode Active I really don’t know what to do!!!!
Any idea’s been in this mode 24 hrs now!!!

It would would be best to have a diagnostic run on it by peugeot.

I had nearly the same problem just sorted it when the bat died the first time. I think maby the battery caused weak spark wich meant that lots of unburnt feul went down the outlet manifould this could clog up the catlyc converter, if you had antipollution faults before all this it would be a good indication.

You could also be lucky and a simple software reboot or upgrade might sort it out.

econmoy mode wont go out until the engine ecu sees a cranking signal. if the starter isnt turning the engine over and car not starting, then it will be on indefinatly.
sounds as though you have a starter motor fault.if the engine wont crank over?

ended up buying a new starter motor.. nice and pricey week with the new battery too

then some silly tart the day after getting my car back goes into the back of me.,.. :firedevil:
