The only 2 problems i have encountered at present are:
1.roof problem. didnt operate but easily sorted at the pug garage free of charge as still under warranty.
2. Squeeky brakes, can be quite annoying, the pug garage cant help, they just say "its common for this model" not the answer i wanted to hear but i sippose you cant have everything! i just get used to it !

apart form the little points above , no problems, enjoy your cc

Many faults are self-inflicted by owners who do not read the manual thoroughly. Just buy as new as you can and try out the car as much as you can before you decide to buy. Think to yourself, why is the owner selling it? Ask them too. A trawl through this forum will show you the many problems that owners experience.
Good luck and welcome to the forum.

Either the boot really is open, or the switch/associated wiring which detects that it is open has a fault.

It will be the latch, it has a plastic arm inside that presses against the boot catch when its closed. This plastic arm activates two switches, one is for the light you are seeing and also one for the alarm. The arm is under considerable spring tension and wears away on the pivot so the arm tends to stick in position and you get the borderline switch on/off flicker while the car is moving.

The switches can go bad too. It has a wiring connector going to the left of it.

This situation can also cause your car alarm to beep when you try to lock it because the car will think the boot is open and refuse to lock.

Not a common problem at all. Sounds to me like either a shim is missing or the pads want some copper slip on them.
Other option could be disks have worn and the pads are touching the lip at the top.

I think the biggest issue is the age of these cars and how they have been treated by the owners. If you strike lucky. You find a one lady owner and 27K on the clock for a 11 year old car. :excite:

I agree; grease the back of the pads with a high temperature product.

My daughter found a one lady owner 206 with 22k, 14 years old. Drives like new.
