my mileage digital clock has no light and a wrench

my mileage digital clock has no light and can only be just about read at night, and now a wrench icon has appeared at the start of my mileage?????

example... wrench icon then 0070896miles

also today my engine light has decided to stay on, please anyone can you lead me to the light??? i have a 206 Y reg......xxx

The wrench indicates that the engine management has tripped the service indicator, could be something simple like a fuse has gone but I would take it to a garage as soon as possible and get them to plug in and take a look.

Get them to replace the dash bulb that seems to have blown while its in the Peugeot garage too.
