Hi all
Does anyone know if you have to have new ABS sensors resetted (plugged in tho the computer) before the ABS light will go out????

i bought a a rear axle for my car but the hubs n sensors ect were different so ive had everything off my old axle put onto this one as the ABS wasnt working and the handbrake light was constantly on. now my original stuff is on, the handbrake light has gone off but the ABS light is still on and it isnt working so i was wondering if it will need to be reset or does anyone have any other suggestions ??

Not had an ABS issue on the Pug, but my wifes Saxo had to have a replacment ABS sensor. After replacing one of the sensors the warning lamp did not go out until it was driven for a few meters. I guess the controller had to see the sensor feedback before it reset the fault lamp. Could be the same with the pug.
