please help if you can

hi i have been having a problem with my 206 1.4 53 plate i really hope someone can help me figure it out

about four weeks ago my wife was driving home when the engine management light came on and it started running really bad
i took it to my local garage who told me it was the coil pack. they then reset something and it was running fine .
untill a week ago it done it again with engine managment light and running bad so i went and purchaesd a new coil pack and fitted it today. it done nothing it still runs bad and the light still shows . does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong with it as im at a total loss as what to do

Did you replace the spark plugs at the same time?
If it was the coil pack at fault it is advisable to replace both that and the spark plugs at the same time. Then, if it is a faulty spark plug that has caused the coil pack to break down, the faulty spark plug won't be able to damage the new coil pack.
However, the fault codes could do with reading again to try to confirm where the fault is. It could now be in "limp home mode" again. Is your local garage a Peugeot specialist? It is often worth using a local Peugeot indy.

i didnt change the spark plugs at the same time i will try that

the garage isnt peugot but i do trust them they have never let me down .

is there any way i can check things like the injectors by visual inspections or does the engine need stripping to do that

I'd try new plugs first.
If you've been using supermarket petrol you COULD have clogged injectors. Do you suspect that then?
I've never removed injectors myself.

mmm dunno im just thinking what it could be any ideas on how to clean them ?

i was thinking of trying some redex to see if that would clear them

You said it ran fine after your local garage did something. Why now would it be the injectors? I ask myself. I'd find out what the garage did to make it run right, then take it from there.

I'd get the fault codes read again by a Peugeot specialist rather than just guess. Google "Peugeot Independent Garage" to try to find one in your area, as I don't know where you are.

the garage just done a diagnostic on it then reset the fault which worked for a while
he done another diagnostic and found fault no 203 but another reset never worked
he thinks injector problems but isnt sure

I see. What fuel have you been putting in it as a rule? In other words, what petrol, and where do you buy it?

A problem with using supermarket petrol is that it often lacks the additives that keep your injectors clean. I used to use supermarket petrol but had nothing but problems with my Vauxhall Corsa. It just wouldn't run right. Switched to decent fuel and the problems disappeared. More mpg too.
Now I only use Shell Optimax petrol in our 206, and BP Ultimate diesel in our Golf and they both run perfectly. My daughter has the Corsa now and never puts supermarket petrol in it. It runs well now and has 110,000 miles on the clock.
I would try using quality fuel if you suspect that your injectors are partially blocked. A few tankfuls and you should begin to notice a difference.
Use Shell, BP, Texaco, Total or Esso quality petrol. I would recommend Shell Optimax or BP Ultimate if you have it near you. I would never use supermarket petrol again.
