STOP LIGHT ON AT IGNITION ON MY X REG 206 1.9 DLX

We have not had the car long and have just noticed that when we turn on the ignition for the glow plug to warm before starting there is a red stop light at the bottom of the clock face that goes off with all the other warning lights when the car is started,could someone PLEASE tell us if this is normal.Thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum! 
Yes this is normal, see page 29 of the handbook here. You only need to worry if the light stays on and flashes whilst the engine is running. You are then advised to go straight to the dealer.
