hi, after a lot of trial and error and replacing parts i think i've sorted the faulty roof on my wifes 'cc'.
the only thing im stuck with is basically which screw/bolt/whatever to undo to be able to bleed the system of the air put in via changing different parts????
im guessing it'll be be fairly straight forward. just wondered if anyone can help me.
many thanks
As far as the roof goes, I'm not sure about air but I do know how to release the hydraulic pressure - there's an Allan key in the black foam box with the tyre puncture aerosols strapped to the right-hand side of the boot - take that out, and now there should be a white circle on the back wall, close to where the box is that you just got the Allan key out of - (wow this is harder to put into words than I thought haha - I hope you can follow!). Put the Allan key in that and turn it about 180 degrees to the left. Now the hydraulic pressure is released...
no, no..... unfortunatly im in much deeper than that! (but thanks anyway) i have replaced hydraulic pistons and hydraulic hoses etc inside the roof mechanism, therefore introducing air into that system. i now need to know where i can let that air out.
im sure it'll be one of the several grub screws on the main hydraulic pump, i just dont know which one??...
i dont really want to just try all of them because unless im lucky enough to choose the right one first i could very easily end up drawing in much more air still.
ahhh sorry I couldn't be of assistance...
the roof is a very complex (and expensive!) piece of machinery, if all else fails my advice would be to just take it to the dealer. they will charge you an arm and a leg but it will cost both arms and both legs to replace the whole system if you accidentally take a wrong turn (no pun intended)...
