Hi everyone!
Got a lovely blue 2002 206cc yesterday. Its got 78,000 miles on her clock with Full History and drives superb ;-)
The garage we got her from changed the Cam belt, water pump, new coil spring (£600 worth) for the new MoT which was very cool. Its got to go back as the boot struts have gone (they tried telling me that it was normal for the boot not to stay open and be a real pig to lift!!! - I dont think so lol). Also have a slight rattle from under the car when pulling away at certain revs (sounds like a metal plate vibrating slightly). Going to get the garage to sort that under warranty.

otherwise loving it - its seems a great forum, I've already learnt little tips (such as opening the vents to make shutting the doors easier - worked a treat).:love-thx:

nice to meet you all - anyone local to stevenage?

Dave

Thanks for the warm welcome :D

Rang the garage today and they have agreed to replace the boot struts and sort the rattle - I guess its a heat shield or something underneath like that - only really happens at low revs. Roll on the sunny weekend!!!

Well a little update for ya all. The rattle has now been confirmed as 'some part' of the exhaust lol. They have agreed to strip it down section by section until its sorted. Luckily It is recorded as a Condition of Sale....so if they dont sort it they get the car back ;-)

I hope it doesn't come to that Dave. It's hard to not get attached to these cars once you've had them out in the sunshine!

Hi Dave

Stick in there - it is well worth the wait now the beautiful sunny days are here.

My car is going in on Tuesday, for the 5th time, since january, warranty expired, but big oil leak garage are going to sort out. I don't think there can be much more that can go wrong ! but........ i still love it and cannot give it up, so dont give up and happy driving !

Thanks for the messages. Your be glad to know I have no intentions to give the car back.....I had to play hardball with the garage, but eventually they agreed to take it in and strip the exchaust down bit by bit until they have sorted the rattle ;-). It went in today, so hopefully should be back in the next day or 2.

Beachbabe...hope your cc gets sorted....any news on it yet?

Been loving the last 2 weeks, the roof has been down when ever I have driven it....its fantastic!!!

I totally agree with this!!! Some days, I actually WANT to drive it with the roof up - its so snug and cosy! Sometimes I just feel like driving fully enclosed - good to hear I'm not the only one! :rotfl:

The rattle/buzzing noise is normally the manifold heatshield, just needs a blob of weld to sort it out ;)

Hi all, well the regular update for you all :lol2: The rattle was diagnosed as the manifold inner pipe, which has been welded and now sounds luverly!!!

But, lol, on return they managed to snap the pull cord in the boot (or so im blaming them and they accept). So its back on Saturday for them to change (luckily they will do it while I wait).

Got to say though, fantastic car...and thanks for all your help u nice poeple :love-thx:
