Morning, this is my first post here. Just yesterday I purchased my little black beauty (black 206 GLX)! I went to see it the day before and couldn't wait for it to be delivered the next day.
Early the next day I received a phone call as on the way down to bringing me the car the mechanic was behind a lorry which spitted up a stone and cracked the window screen down the bottom right hand corner!!
The mechanic did bring the car round and explained that I was at no obligation to buy the car and was upto myself.
He also explained he could not knock anymore money off ( as he is my land lord and had already nocked £400 off ).
As the car was in such good condition I decided I would purchase the car and get the screen repaired/replaced as for £1000 the car was a bargin in my eyes.
My question ( after the long winded post ) is does anyone know where I can get a replacement screen at a bargin price??
regards

Just a thought, but assuming you havent told anyone that this happened before you purchased it and you are fully comp insurance then the cheapest route would be to leave it a week or two and claim on your windscreen cover from your insurance company!

That's ok black beauty, you are still welcomeblack_beauty wrote:p.s. sorry, thought it was a general peugeot 206 forum
however, a 206CC windscreen is smaller than the 206 windscreen - yours is taller than ours but that's fine, if anyone knows where to get windscreens cheaply that will still do you, I think the best place to get parts at their cheapest is a wreckers, or breakers yard, but then it has to be fitted... ??? out here we have windscreen repair companies that specialise in that sort of thing, anything like that in the UK?

I'd enquire of Autoglass or AutoWindscreens for a quote. I think the seller had a cheek, but you did have the chance to reject it.

They are easy to use - post the specifications to what you want and it gets posted to breakers yards that use them and they send you a quote.
As a windsreen is a little large to pst I would put your area when entering the details unless some offer postage via a courier
I also did a simple google search and found several posts on 206 forums about suppliers for windscreens with people asking the same question as you, you might find people in the trade on these forums more help as its specific for your car
