Re: hi all
Welcome to the forum. Hopefully you'll have no problems, but the car you're buying is nearly 10 years old so budget £1000 for essentials.
At that age if the cambelt hasn't been changed it will need renewing,
You said the engine runs fine, but did you start it up from cold? If it had already been warmed up then if it is suffering from the common hydraulic tappets problem you wouldn't have noticed. That repair costs in the region of £800.
Brakes and tyres may need work / renewing at that age.
A space saver spare can be bought off eBay (as I did). I wouldn't want to be stranded with a split tyre and no hope of reinflating it with the aerosols.
Ensure you get a jack, wheel-brace, and locking wheel nuts adaptor with the car.
Make sure the seats operate properly and lock into position properly after adjustment. Expensive to repair.
You tell us nothing about the service history - hopefully it has a full one, and it comes recently serviced, with a full MOT, with no roof leaks.
Read the owners manual thoroughly before you use it. Many problems are self inflicted by new owners - especially roof issues.
Good luck, let us know how you get on. Don't part with your hard earned cash unless you are absolutely sure it is perfect. There will be plenty more in a month's time and values will drop £100's if not £1000's as autumn begins to bite. Best time to buy is winter.
