My other halfs 206cc is showing low water temperature and high oil temps on longer journeys.
It used to be spot on all the time, water at 90 and oil at or just below 90.
More recently, especially on longer motorway journeys, the water temp stay at around 75-80 and the oil slowly rises up to about 110. Backing the revs off and keeping below 3k allows the oil temp to drop to about 100. On shorter town driving both oil and water tend to stay at the correct temps.
I have checked the oil and water radiators, nothing suspect here.
I have checked the water for oil and the oil for water, nothing untoward there.
Has anyone experienced similar issues or got anything else I could check before we take in into the garage? I am tempted to check the thermostat is closing and opening correctly but that wouldn't account for the high oil temps.
I have told the mrs to keep an eye on the gauage and keep the revs low in the mean time.
