Now, i realise i've had my CC nearly 6 months now, but until earlier on today i never got round to trying the "Autolight" function. I believe you have to push the light stalk in (where it says "Auto--->") but nothing happens. I have the Autowipers feature on my 2.0SE full sports pack motor and was expecting the autolights function too - after all i asked and paid for it, so what's wrong? Am i mental?

How far had you turned the key in the ignition Greg? You have to turn it only one small notch, then press the button thingy and it will come up as auto lights activated on you display.......let me know how you go!

I love the auto lights and they work well (eg in a underground/high rise car park) but I can't work out why sometimes they come on when it appears to be light. I'd love to know if anyone knows about the sensor and what light parameters trigger it?
Cheers

autolights sometimes trigger if the wiper detects rain as well

I didn't know that, thanks!

Am I correct that the sensor is that darkened area on the windscreen that is around the area of the rear vision mirror?
Cheers

That's right!!

Don't make the mistake I made though - I put windscreen cleaner on it and it made all the water run off it and the sensor didn't trigger!!
