Hi Everyone
I was wondering if any body can help me.
My 206 1.1 51plate is misfiring and running like crap.
I changed the plugs and the car seemed to run fine for a week an then it started misfiring again. I have now replaced the coil pack and still the car is misfiring.
Can anyone help..............?
Thanks

Re: misfiring problem.........!!!
If you have tried plug & COP then it could be a faulty injector.
Try removing COP (coil pack) & plugs, replace the plugs into COP and lay ontop of engine making sure all the plugs are earthed to engine (use wire twisted around the body of each plug and twisted to a suitable earth point, such as engine lifting eye if you have to)
Get an assistant to crank engine and observe if all plugs are sparking well.
(Watch you eyes for bits being blown around by the exposed plug holes)
If one of them isn't, swap it with another that is working and see if it now sparks.
You will be able to tell if it is a faulty plug or COP because if it is the same position in COP not sparking, then it's the COP. If fault moves with plug, then it's the plug.
BTW, Peugeots sometimes have problems with NGK plugs. Always use Bosch.
If all four are OK, then you could have a faulty injector. If this is the case, get back and I'll tell you how to test.
Don't drive it 'til it's fixed or you will bugger the CAT!!

could also be the a faulty o2 sensor throwing out the wrong air/fuel mix which will cause "anti pollution fault" if you have the code read and it say's "multi misfire detected P300" start with the
plugs
coil pack
injectors
map sensor
o2 sensors
cat conv
exhaust (blowing)
could be any of these

It points to coil pack again.
Was coil pack new oh s/h? What make plugs did you fit?

Re: misfiring problem.........!!!
Hi
The new plugs i put in were Bosch and i brought the coil pack second hand.
Today after the car was put on the computer and the guy told me what was wrong i then went back to the place where i got the coil pack from and they changed it for another which came straight off of another car. Still the problem exists......????
Could it be anything to do with the wiring.........?
Thanks Capncol

Re: misfiring problem.........!!!
Sounds like you have eliminated the coil pack and it does sound like you have a problem elsewhere. The issue is that the signal to the coil pack fires cylinders 2&3 together then 1&4 together, so if the wiring was faulty, it should also make no2 cyl misfire as well.
Was the 2nd coil pack known to be good?
Do you have the print out with the diagnostic codes shown? (It may help)
Was there more than 1 code?
