I guess those lower bulbs have blown too, or the connector is loose. Similar to your others but harder to get at.
Some have three, some have four ... depends on type of display and I think pre-mux or mux.
The other thing that can go wrong is the pins that connect the two halves of the unit inside come off the circuit board usually when you are taking it apart to change bulbs! A good pot-hole can also break the solder. They are easily re-solderable though. (Got the T-shirt as they say!)

The earlier CC model is quite old technology so don't expect "modern" touches like leds, etc. Although there are one or two on the circuit board behind the dash ... lights that shouldn't be disabled (by removing the bulb!) ... engine management, airbags, etc. I think that might only be on later models with the mux circuitry.
