No disrespect intended, but I don't think it's a very good plate and doesn't warrant the price being asked. Her ein Australia (Victoria) we can get personalised plates in various combinations but only with a maximum 6 letters/numbers. The best I could get (in my opinion) is CC 2060 (couldn't get CC 206 because CC + 3 numbers are reserved for consular vehicles and for some reason you're not allowed numbers followed by letters). I paid the grand price of A$95 which is about 30 Pounds Sterling.
I figure the plate I have would have a better chance at the price asked here. Will let you know one day if I sell it.
Cheers

Got a numberplate 7 LTF. Its around 35-40 years old. Was previously my father's (who was a motor trader and matched his initials). Now he's passed away I have it to keep for sentimental reasons. I've been told it's worth in the region of £5,000 because it's made up of only one number and three letters, but wouldn't part with it for anything. I'd be interested though if anyone could confirm that price was correct for this sort of plate?
PS. I have the correct font and spacing on my numberplate as I don't see a need to pretend it's something it clearly isn't.

I think the advice of explaining to people that it's not worth tampering with numberplates to inflate their value cos it's illegal is an excellent sell at the sum of £0.
I seem to remember the term "only legal items- nothing dodgy!" coming to mind.
To sell a plate and then afterwards for a person to rely on the changing of letters and/or spacing including the use of rivets in wrong places is clearly illegal and a bum deal for anyone caught out by the police at a later date (Robbie ex-met).

A20 PEU with a rivet between the 2 and the 0 is not illegal as long as the rivet doesnt touch the characters and the plate is still legally spaced i.e. A20 PEU ( A 20 PEU = illegal). In my opinion this plate would look really cool. P.s. my brother is called Nikko and he has the plate N16KKO spaced illegally like this and the car has never been pulled over and it has passed an mot like this!

not so keen on A20 PEU - theres a lot of thick people going around who wouldnt have a clue what it meant.
