Hi I'm new member :D from harwich

Post by Morrison23 »

Hi I bought a 206cc allure last month. 04 reg with 47000 miles. Very happy so far. Can't wait to the summer to drive with no roof 8) since I got it I've noticed a handful in my area.
One problem I have is that the CD player doesn't except any discs. I tried to force it in a just about managed to get it back again. Any advice or its no good?
Got some ice scrapers at the weekend. It's getting cold and have to scrape the back windscreen. Just about getting used to having no back wipers. Any other advice for winter driving.
Thanks in advance

Hello and welcome

The one and only problem I had with winter driving in my CC was not being able to get my key in the petrol cap when it was frosty. I didn't find this out until I was on the petrol station forecourt and despite trying the lock de-icer and WD40 which I always keep in my glovebox, I had to drive off without filling up and go back later in the day when it had thawed! Oh, and mine didn't do snow, I couldn't get off my drive which has a slight incline. Apart from those tiny inconveniences, no problems at all.

I hope you enjoy your new car and don't think that you have to wait until summer to drive 'topless'! Cold, crisp sunny days are perfect too. 8)

Hi Morrison23.
Sounds like you have a duff CD unit. I'm assuming it works ok on radio?
Cheers Col.

Welcome :)

I've got the opposite problem, CDs are fine but to hear even slight noise on my radio I have to put the sound on full blast :S no connection problems as it finds each station fine... Weird.
