Boot inside roof always damp

Post by lowfat »

The boot roof always has droplets on the inside. I don't know if this is condensation of where rain water is getting in due to the rubber trim not doing its job propertly. I am scared that one day it will result in rusting and corrossion. Do you have this problem? Any ideas on how to fix it? I've already sprayed the rubber with silicon but it hasn't helped so I have to wipe the boot dry with a cloth every so often. Although the metal is covered in paint, could water still corrode it? I guess not as obviously the outside is constantly exposed to rain but doesn't corrode but still it's not nice.

Water can travel. Try checking tail light seals as a start. Water can leech through there.

Hi this is my first posting

I have a similar problem with my wife's car. I note that the replacement clusters changed in June 2003. Do these fit a 2000 206cc?
