Hi,
Question, If I change BSI and ECU unit, which references are the most important
BSI unit
S118085210E
E02-00-MG
9646777380
ECU unit
80924C Dcn2 Dwlc12 ( I can get unit which is 80924B)
R04080030B
028852 FVG
Soft: 9645626280 /OA
PSA: 9641390180
the above is off same car and comes with Barrel lock and Key, No keycode, no Vin number, would this be a problem with Peugeot planet
the above has come off 206 1.9di and my car is 206 1.9d
I am still trying to find wiring diagram for ECU to check that it has power as pp2000 cannot communicate with ECU
Regards
Andy

Whoa!! Hold on a moment.
Just read your previous post re PP2000 not communicating.
Firstly this is most likely caused by your pp2000 software or hardware.
Have you tried it on a different Peugeot to make sure your diagnostics software is working?
Have you tried a different diagnostics on your car?
In my experiance complete non communication is rare, especially on a car that runs as it's more likely on a non running car with a corrupted ecu / bsi.
There are many different types of BSI / ECU system fitted to 206's and you would need one with exactly the same numbers as your original unit. One off a 206 hatchback would be no good as you need the canbus link with the roof ecu and other equipment
If it is your diagnostic software at fault, then you won't be able to do anything with a new BSI\ECU

Capncol,
Sorry for not getting back to you sooner, Funeral back in Uk.
Ok. The car will crank over but preheat does not come on and car will not start.
pp2000 can communicate with BSI. but BSI cannot communicate with ECU. thus unable to test anything that goes through ECU error "No communication from ECU"
Do not have another Peugeot to try pp2000 but did try another reader from a friend and this did not work either albeit a cheap unit.
Regards
Andy

Result changed preheat relay and guess what she came back to life so the problem was wire 1229 corroded and preheat relay corroded inside (electronic board).

Well found. We don't get many 1.9 diesels on this 206cc forum but we're always happy to learn.
