Hi all
I recently got myself a 206 (2004 with 39000 miles on it)
After about 20 minutes of driving I find myself with a few problems
1. When taking my foot off the brake, the car should start to move forward, but doesnt, it sits there, and sometimes even rolls backwards if its on a hill
2. I need to rev the car to 4000rpm just to get it to engage and move forwards, where it suddenly jumps forwards.
On normal driving I need to hit 3500rpm just to get the car to 3rd gear (on fully auto mode). the engine is shouting at me but wont shift up, if I shift using the semi-auto mode, it will just shift back down straight afterwards.
I think there is a problem, however the peugeot garage have said that they can see no problems, and diagnostics have not pointed anything out. I am not sure what to do.
If they say there is no problem, what do I do? Its almost unsafe to drive as I struggle to turn into fast moving traffic, and have to use the handbrake on a hill!
Any help is much appreciated. Thanks

Re: Auto Gearbox Problem
Take it to an autobox repairer as that just isn't right. Whereabouts are you as there is one in Berkshire I would recommend?
Cheers Col.

I have been told it could be just that the car has been stood for a couple of weeks, and it may be something inside the transmission that is sticking.
