Comms unit change

Post by haylisluff »

Hi guys,

I have another problem with the car :(

The comms unit totally packed up and my indicators wouldn't work or when I indicated it would turn my lights on lol

Brought one off of eBay and the seller said that it would fit my 2003 cc.

My ever paitient partner (whose paitience is getting thin with all of these problems lol) has fitted it today, and once he began testing everything, low and behold the horn doesn't work!

Apart from it being an incorrect part, I can't think of much else...

He said that he took the battery off out of power save mode, would this have upset the BSI unit?

We have checked the fuses and it's not that so we are now a bit stuck!

Any thoughts before I send the part back?

Thanks muchly everyone ;)

Assuming he's reconnected everything, it sounds like new unit is faulty.
Cheers Col.
