Electrical failure after locking car up

Post by Hilarykent »

Today my daughters 206 2004.1.2 developed a problem. When she switched ignition off and locked up,the headlights came on and stop light and console lights flashed. The key fob then would not work until reset by turning engine on. But kept happening even when car not locked. Each time car turned off about 3 minutes later a click in engine compartment, dials all drop down then headlights and console lights come on lights won't turn off.
Battery now drained and car dead beeps when try to do anything.
The only thing that had been done to the car prior to this was to plug an adaptor into the ariel socket to connect up the radio, but no electrics turned on or off
Help!

Not sure how old battery is, it looks fairly new but we only bought the car 11 weeks ago. Will try the BSI reset, carefully following your instructions !

Thanks
