Dear all,

I have read some posts in the last few weeks about people that have rattling windows on new 206 CC's.

I have had thissince I got my car. The delare now tells me that this is the way it is!!!

Could anyone that has this problem (rattle of passenger windows of any kind, or drivers windows) please reply.

I want as much evidence as pos to reject my poor CC.

I have had it for 10 weeks and it has been in 8 times.

Your help is needed to get the car replaced!

Thanks to all.

I hate to say it but I believe there's an element of truth to what your dealer said. The CC is not a sedan and not a soft top - it's a compromise. Despite a hard roof there is less rigidity and there will be some movement in the windows. How bad is the rattle? I get a slight rattle but know it can be addressed with a spray that Paugeot use on the seals. It's not permanent but it works for several weeks.

FYI I had the same problem with my last 306 Cabriolet and it was worse than the CC. The spray also worked on that.

Keep at your dealer, but I would suspect on the basis of the rattling windows alone you'd have problems rejecting.Mind you I don't have any feel for how bad it is.
Cheers

Not a hint of window rattle on mine and I'm coming up to 13,000 miles soon.

My windows rattle and I have in fact had it looked at by my dealer. They used a 'spray' to soften up the seals and it disappeared for a while. It has since come back so I may need to go back for a respray but...
I agree with Frosty. I expect some rattles given the design of the car so on that basis alone I wouldn't be looking at rejecting it. If it gets too bad I just wind the window down a fraction.

Thanks.

Kirk.

I have had the car for about half a year and never had any rattle from the windows...
I dont agree with Frosty and would give the dealers a hard time. If they dont tell you about these things that supposed to be on a "car like this" when you by it then they can get the car back and fix it.
It's too easy to tell after the car is bought and the faults are comming that this is common on "a car like this".
Havent they told you before you bought then its them who have a problem... and if the problem realy is something to expect from a "car like this" and if they havent told you... a bit of money back can be the solution....
Dont give up!!!

The best advice is usually short and sweet. I have been guilty of shutting the door by pushing on the windo. LUCKILY, I have no rattles....

When I bought mine, a couple of weeks ago, there was a rattle from the nearside. After a few days this disappeared, but the boot started. A few more days and the boot is now silent, but there is a louder rattle coming from the offside rear. I'm not sure whether it is the window though.

Yeap I agree rattles are expected.

Went back to the dealer today and found that the windows is not correctly aligned on the passenger side. The driver side is fine!!

They have said that they will look at it (of which they are keeping the car for 2 weeks as I am on hols soon).

If it is not fixed I have a great case for a replacement car!!!

I have also got agreement from P that the car should not do this and the windows are not the same. You can move the top of the window in and out with yoiur little finger!!!

My point to P is that the driver side is great..some noise but thats fine. The passenger side feels like its going to fall through.

Anyway, nuff said...lets kill the rattle snake!!

Thanks to all for responses,Jason

If theyre keepin it for two weeks I'd check the milage in case those monkeys take it home an watch out for worn seats with all those customers being shown round your CC.
