Peugeot 206 convertible temperature guage
Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me. I have just bought a 206 convertible on an 02 plate and it drives like a dream but last night the temperature guage on the same section as the rev counter went into the red and the STOP light came on, the temperature guage on the same section as the speedo read normal (90-95). I left the car overnight and just turned the ignition on without starting the engine and it still went into the red and said STOP, I have checked the water level and all ok, we re-set everything and it has disappeared. Has anyone else had the same problem and was it a simple fix. Its a bit scary as you think there will be damage to the engine if you don't stop. Thanks Julie

You might find your temp sender is starting to fail ...

FYI the temp gauge in the speedo is the oil temp, the other one is the water temp.

Ok thank you for clearing that up, when we bought the car it didn't come with a handbook or anything so will try and get all this information and keep it together.
