Indicator won't stop flashing!

Post by Kyleigh »

I've had my pug just over 5 months an after the first month my right indicator started flashing by itself unless I wiggled the indicator stalk around . But that also stopped working after a while so I bodged it with a tissue which worked fine so my indicators worked properly .
Until a few weeks ago wen it started flashing again , it just continually flashes an I have to try hold the stick whilst driving ... Not safe I know !
Has anyone got any suggestions please ??

Also about 2 months after having my car , the roof stopped working too :-( was absolutely gutted when the hot weather came an couldn't have the roof down ! It doesn't make any noise or nothing !! Any suggestions on this matter as well please ?

Can you put your location in your profile? It sounds as though you need to find someone local to you with Peugeot Planet 2000 who can do a diagnostic. That will identify the exact cause of both faults.

The first one sounds as though the COM2000 module (which the indicator/wiper/radio controls and airbag clock-spring go into) has gone faulty. They're not exactly bullet-proof. You should be able to pick up one from eBay, and a decent amateur mechanic can fit one in half an hour.

As for the roof, need more info. Are you putting the blind across in the boot? Do you hear a "bong" when you unclip the 2 latches at the top corners of the windscreen? Then are you pressing the roof button or pulling it up?

Ah right. I can help you because I work in Derby and Lichfield's just a few minutes down the A38.
Send me a PM with your mobile number and I'll give you a call to arrange.

Please help! I've had my 206 GLX for two weeks and the indicator has developed a mind of its own, it turns itself on when I'm driving! Can anyone help please? I'm in Manchester M23. Thanks in advance!

It's probably your indicator stalk ... depending on the age of the car it's a replacement stalk or complete Com2000 unit (2002 onwards)

BTW ... this is the CC forum and while some of the parts of the CC and GLX hatch are the same, you will soon get bored about tales of non-opening roofs! ... try 206info.co.uk for a general 206 forum including hatchbacks and SWs!
