I struggled to get the bulb cover off and out of the way on the offside. No amount of jiggling pulling or forcing would get the lid out from the engine bay. Until I looked at the washer filler tube and thought if I designed this I would have made the washer bottle easy to move to one side. That is when I noticed the stem and the joining on the tank. I cautiously applied rotational force to the filler stem and yes it revolved and unscrewed it off.
How so much easier it is to get to the bulb now. Unfortunately I replaced the (H7 ?) bulb with a cheap £1 one I got off ebay so it blew again five minutes down the road.

Make sure you get it located properly too .. it took me and a mechanic at the MOT station to get one right so it passed!
