Re: roof and windows
a quick update,i just bought a used bsi kit , the under bonnet fusebox and another roof ecu, all from a ebay breaker with great feedback and assures me the car was running and roof etc was working before the car was broken.
will it do any harm to just swap out the roof ecu first or should i just go ahead and change everything in one go?
thanks

Re: roof and windows
It wont hurt to try the roof ecu first however if it detects a fault it could disable the roof with a code which would have to be cleared with pp2000.
Im not sure if you will also need the engine ecu steering lock antenna and locks with keys from the breakers car too or if you will be able to just program them together with your current ecu as im sure they are all programmed together as a matching set to make it hard to steal the cars

Re: roof and windows
Just hope that after you change everything it isnt exactly the same as it is now then because of faulty wiring.
Keep us posted mate.

Re: roof and windows
Well you are replacing the bsi so you could just strip everything off without waiting however if the replacement is a dud you could have to put it back so best to be on the safe side. Did you try the roof ecu?
