Hello, I'm hoping for some advice.
I have a 2001 2.0 petrol cc. The digital display wasn't working when I bought it so I got a scrap yard replacement. This one was exactly the same, nothing lights up.
It's the 4 bulb version if that helps?
Can't be fuse as number plate lights still working and is apparently on the same relay.
Thanks in advance!

Shine a torch on it and see if there is any info on the display

Do the bulbs work?
It may be internal connection between the two circuit boards. The soldered on pins come away and break the circuit.

Thank you for advice,
I have since discovered that the unit works with the hazard light cowling removed due to the light through the wind screen.
This would point to blown bulbs I presume? They just all seem to be ok.
I bought a replacement unit from an online scrap yard and that doesn't work at all even with the natural light, so I checked those bulbs in the old unit and no joy. Surely 8 blown bulbs is beyond unlucky or is this common?
Again all help greatfully received

They are on all the time when the ignition is on and bulbs don't last forever. Yours are probably all 14 years old.
