Courtesy Light issues
Hey there, new owner of a Peugeot 206 1.1 LX, few small issues with the car so far. Recently the courtesy light just stopped working, at first I thought it was a bulb issue, but I tested it with a bulb that worked in the glove compartment lighting. I thought it might be a fuse issue, but having looked it up, the cigarette lighter, the glove compartment light and the courtesy are all on the same fuse, and the others work. Just wanted to know what it is I should do from here, I was considering getting a new courtesy light, but not sure how to test if the wiring behind it is the issue, hoping one of you guys can help! I've used the forum for little modifications and advice I've made to the car, and you guys are great!

Re: Courtesy Light issues
Could be the bulb holder, or more likely a bad earth.

Re: Courtesy Light issues
Thank you for the quick response, is there a way of testing whether it is the bulb holder or bad wiring?

Re: Courtesy Light issues
Put a meter across the two wires and check if you have power then put one lead to earth and check the 2 wires again one at a time. If you have no power the first test but power with the second, then it's prob a bad earth (check the door switch)
If power on first test, then bulb holder unit is faulty.

Will do, sorry to be a novice, but at what point am I checking these wires, where they come out by the light? or somewhere else in the vehicle

Re: Courtesy Light issues
Easiest at the light, then back from there if no power.
Cheers Col.
