Re: 206cc blower
Its normally the heater resistor that gives up.

Re: 206cc blower
Leegsi is probably right, but check the fuse hasn't blown, then check the connecting plug hasn't melted.
Cheers Col.

Re: 206cc blower
Thanks so much for the help.
I can't locate the resistor can not see it near the clutch pedal side.
The car is auto ac is the resistor in the fan has a metal spike thing hedgehog if that makes sense I'm guessing the resistor is in the fan ?
Or am I not looking hard enough for it the clutch pedal side

Re: 206cc blower
It will be the resistor. If you have the fan out reach under the shaft where the fan sits and find the resistor at the top. To get to the connector you need to remove the centre display. The trim just slides back and up toward the windscreen. Remove the lcd and behind that at the back is where the wires goto the resistor.

Re: 206cc blower
If these are the same as the climate control on the 306 then they don't have a resistor pack. They have an electronic speed controller instead which is mounted on the side of the fan assembly.

Re: 206cc blower
Would it be the resistor if the blower motor only runs slowly even when climate is asking for full speed?
If it ain't broke, leave the thing alone!

Re: 206cc blower
I don't know if it has the same resistor in the climate control system. Usually with the normal system it is only top speed you can get by bypassing the resistor. Like I have with mine.

Re: 206cc blower
The resistor controls the variable speed so if its only runs slow then yes its probably toast.
I have climate control and ac in mine and it didnt work when i got it cos the resistor was goosed.

running slow means current is passing through resistor.

Re: 206cc blower
No. I think it might be the plug that goes into the resistor melted. Assuming it even has a resistor pack being climate control, someone has stated they do not have one.
