I tried powering the locks today from the battery I have, but could not get them to work.
So went and got a couple of second hand locks, same thing lock ok but wont open so its not the locks.
I tested the wires already all have .03 - 6 ohms so are working.
So only leaves the BSI to be faulty took it out today and looks fine but does not mean it is.
So I think I have exhausted all the routes now and either need to get the BSI checked or take out BSI to have it tested.

If you powered them directly from the battery and they didnt work how can that be a faulty bsi causing it?

Re: Central Locking will lock but not unlock
Because I have 2 sets of locks now.
Doing the exact same thing.
I could not test the locks from the battery its does not work like that for some reason needs the relays open or closed I guess but could not figure it out how they have it working.

Then you must have 2 sets of faulty locks?
Surely if you power it directly from the battery how can the bsi have anything to do with it working or not?

Impossible to have 2 sets of faulty locks one of the locks would work

Re: Central Locking will lock but not unlock
It just a simple 2 way flip system, try powering the boot lock directly with it plugged in, its the easiest to get to and manipulate.
Since all the locks are hard wired together this will rule out broken locks or wiring.

Re: Central Locking will lock but not unlock
Did you not say the boot lock does not open with CL?
It locks fine like al the locks.
I do not know why the lock did not want to function when I put direct power to it.
Its just clicked but lock did not move.
tested it every which way I could think of but now I Have another set can test it easier as I wont be in a rush.
But it would be very bad luck not to have one working.

Re: Central Locking will lock but not unlock
The bsi wont open the boot lock because it is protected with a diode but it is still linked to all the other locks so powering the boot lock manually will make it operate both ways depending on which way round its connected to the battery and if you leave it plugged in it will also power the door locks IF NO WIRES ARE BROKEN and its all connected up properly. If it works in this scenario then you can put money on the bsi being the culprit and things are going to get pricey to sort it out.

Did you get to the bottom of this?
I see you didn't get too far on 206info either, the full wiring diagrams for the 1.6 16v are in autodata

Re: Central Locking will lock but not unlock
The way my boot lock works is that it only unlocks using the ignition key in the boot lock.
It locks both by using the ignition key in the boot lock, and also by using the lock button on the remote control.
The boot lock is not supposed to unlock by using the remote control button.
Did you try new actuators?

Re: Central Locking will lock but not unlock
I tried second hand Actuators I cant think 4 would be broken.
My mother has cut her trip short, so I will put it back together and she can take it to the garage and get them to diagnose the problem.
I would think one of the caps has gone on the board, so it's not powering the relay or the relay gone, but I cannot test the relays the way the pcb board is setup one above the another.
They do not come apart easily.
Sorry I did not get an email to say you had posted.

Re: Central Locking will lock but not unlock
I have managed to get the drivers door opening on central locking by disconnecting the two green wires, which I guess is the dead locking side of the lock.
It is a strange one as I done the same for the passenger side and it will not unlock, but button pops up now before it did not.
but can open the doors from the inside now which was the main problem.
But now have to press lock twice on the key fob to lock the doors, once for the alarm and once for the locks.
Who knows what the real problem is with the CL'ing she is getting a new car in a while so will do now till she gets a new car not a Renault, Pug or any other French car will be steering her away from them now, even though I was told Nissan are doing the electrics now.
