I plugged in a cheap ELM327 OBD2 reader (which I've used on various other cars) but for some reason Torque cannot speak to it. Gives various errors, but never seems to connect.
Are these 206 GTI's not compatible ?

Re: OBD2 + Torque App
There are quite a few cheap interfaces that have trouble talking to the app.
Is your phone communicating with the interface ?
I have used the app on quite a few 206's inc my 2003 1.6 16v with no problems.

Re: OBD2 + Torque App
It's a 2.0L model.
I've used this interface many times before though, so it's odd that it is broken now. Maybe I need to double check it still works, or try my other one which has been bullet proof over the years.
Initially, it couldn't make a connection. Then when it made a connection it was scanning through the protocols but couldn't find the right one.

What year is it? There is a swap over point where they became more standard due to EU but they are still a bit "special"
Also no Peugeot is OBDII conpatible ... Newer ones are EOBD which is close but not exactly the same.
I had to buy a Peugeot/Citroen/Renault specific code reader to get the right results ... Or PP2000 on a lsptop with the Lexia interface cables.

It's a 02 plate, so perhaps before the EU standard.

Re: OBD2 + Torque App
It should be after .. Late 2001 was the switch for petrols ... Multiplex for Pugs.
Diesels were 2004.
... But that still doesn't mean obdII will work ...EOBD should ...
But I don't think ELM3 works on Pugs

Tried EOBD software from Play Store. No luck. Might buy an EOBD specific reader off eBay.
