Rear light cluster

Post by j2112 »

Are the rear lights interchangeable between models - CC and hatchback?
If the lenses aren't, are the bulb holders?
Thanks

The rear lights, including bulb holders, are different Part Numbers between CC's and hatches, and they all vary with age as well..

The CC rear lights are different between cars up to build code 09582 and from 09583. Build code on the door frame sticker.

I don't know whether you can actually get away with using the wrong part. I expect not.

Thanks Ian, typical!
Need to replace or repair the bulb holders due to the earth terminals failing, and had considered upgrading to phase 2 or Lexus type instead as I saw some advertised locally, but if they must be CC specific then that narrows down the options!

My bulb holders were for a standard 206 and not a cc, but mine is a '52 plate.

The difference is the black plastic water shield.

They are held on with plastic clips and pins that are 'melted' like rivets. I couldn't find a pair of Phase 2 CC lights to replace our sun damaged and cracked Phase 1 units ...

... So I converted a hatchback pair :-)

Should have added the clips are enough to hold the surrounds on so you don't need glue or plastic re-welding ... Unless you break the clips! :-)
