Identification request ...,

Post by j2112 »

Found this plug while tinkering earlier today. It's behind the lower front bumper, on the driver's side, but I couldn't see anything obvious to attach it to.
Also found an oil leak which seems quite bad actually :censored: I'll need to investigate further, but that will probably be the subject of another thread anyway :)

In the meantime, any suggestions re the plug would be great.
Thanks

Can't see a plug, just a wall and a black splodge
Cheers Col.

Thought that would happen! But if you click on it / enlarge it, it's a bit clearer.

I'll get a look in the morning, weather permitting!
It just caught my eye, as did the fact that both lower valence supports are broken!

Funny you say that. The horn 'button' on this car has been relocated to under the steering column - no idea why - maybe it's a trendy mod :hmm:

I was hoping to change the steering wheel at some point and was going to see about refitting as oem.
Another job I'd forgotten about

It will have been relocated because it stops working when the clock spring in the com breaks down and the horn contacts go manky, which looks like inside the plug in the pic (blue/green crap)

Ah, so out of necessity then?
Can it be rectified?

Anything can be rectified it depends on your determination and size of your pockets, plus dropping on lucky finding one or two in a scrapyard
