I've had my car just a year, but it looks that the full year MOT we bought it with must have been issued with a wing and a prayer, as this year's MOT news is so bad we are not spending a penny more on it.

It's been nice knowing you all, but my 206cc day's are now gone.

I am selling the alloys (post on items for sale) if anyone fancies them, I bought them just eight months ago and they look fab.

MOT expense is just too mch, which is a shame as we have spent over a grand on it this year already; someone else could do it, but I am loathe to risk good money after bad.

Sometimes better the devil you know. I know a fair few people who sold the old cash draining 'unreliable' car, only to find the newer motor is even worse.

I would agree if buying another second hand car, however, I am being something new, so hopefully will have reliability for a good few years.

I've accepted a trade in value against a new car, but I am sure if I sold it privately I could pay the deposit instead.

It's got eight month old alloys and try's, a new exhaust, new DAB radio etc.

A grand or more and it is yours with all those included

If your part exchanging the car, don't give them the wind deflector. I would have the wind deflector off you, where are you, and how much would you want for it?

If you wanted if with the nice alloys and and the DAB etc, anything in the high three figures would be acceptable.

Without the wheels etc £600.
