Coolant warning on dashboard
Hi there first time posted on here so please bear with me. I have a ongoing issue with my 206cc. When am driving her for more than 45 minster I get a warning come up saying coolant temp high. Have had sensor changed and still doing it. My mechanic cannot get to the bottom of it. The coolant is at the right temperature and engine isn't overheating. When it does it i stop the car and the dials all go back to normal start her up again carry on with my journey and it doesn't do it again any idea's

If it isn't the sensor, it must be the signal processing. The two processors involved are the engine ECU and the BSI.
I would start by trying a BSI reset. I'm not too confident it will help, but it's quick and costs nothing. Next thing is to get a fault readout from Peugeot Planet 2000. If that does not help, I'd suggest changing the engine ECU.

Reading the fault codez may help. If we know what they are we might be able to help.
It was a new sensor they fitted?
