Hi guys think i know the answer to my question but going to ask anyway.
Got my pp2000 to work at last.can it recode a used fob from another 206 cc. I have a key cut and starts the car but wrong electronics board for central locking. I read some locksmiths can do this might be cheaper than the 60 quid to get a virgin fob.

Re: Recoding a used fob
Afaik, it is a very involved process using special digital tools to write to areas of the car's systems which are not supposed to be written to. Someone did crack the problem, reportedly, and created the requisite tools, but did not share them, and he has disappeared from the forums he frequented.
I think it unlikely you will find a locksmith able to do it.
There are four different flavours of fob, distinguishable only by sticker on the outside and the Part No on the packaging. Which is correct for your car depends on date of manufacture and whether the car has front foglamps. Sounds unlikely, but it's true.
Do not be tempted to buy a new fob from Chinese EBay sellers as they do not cater for the four flavours, and some people have found that they do not work in their car.
If you want to post or PM the last eight digits of your VIN, I'll look up the Peugeot Part No for your car.

Hi thanks for the reply. I am one of the ones buying chinese lol. Yeah know the exact fob i need 6554yr. Just dont want to spend the 60 quid to get a virgin fob just for central locking. I will just have to live with the 1 fully working key.
