Speedo reading
If I fit a used speedo to my 206 will it retain the old odometer reading or show the " new " one. Ie is the reading stored in the cars computer or the speedo.

Re: Speedo reading
The answer is in both the BSI and the speedo unit. If the two values do not agree, the lower is overwritten by the higher. The process is non-reversible.

Thanks for that. I wanted to change the black faced one for a silver one but will obviously have to look for one with less miles than mine.

Re: Speedo reading
Whether you can do that depends on the RPO numbers of your and the donor car (basically build date) and fuel comes into it as well. It looks very complex - you might end up with a non-compatible speedo.
