Re: Peugeot Planet
I suggest you try what I do:
Install a copy of VMWare Player (Free). Then install a copy of WinXP in it as a virtual machine. Put the PP2000 software into the VM. Works a treat, and, as a bonus, if you suspend the VM when finished, instead of shutting it down, it will restart in seconds with PP already running - even if you have rebooted the PC!
I also do this for the Peugeot Docbackup and SEDRE - it's excellent.

Re: Peugeot Planet
Hi IanL, my grandson has come to help me install it again as recommended by yourself. We have installed VMWare on my laptop and have set up win xp pro but am having trouble installing diag box and Peugeot planet. Both are giving errors and will not install. I am sure we have set up everything correctly so can't imagine why it's not installing.
Do you have any idea what could be causing this. Your help will be strongly appreciated.
Cheers, Daffy

Re: Peugeot Planet
Disable antivirus? if that does not help, I would guess read errors - either the disk or the DVD drive. Do you perhaps have, or can you borrow, a USB DVD drive? If that does not help, maybe try another disk (did you make a backup?).

Re: Peugeot Planet
I have not installed any antivirus as I will only be using xp for this diag box and PP2000. I have checked the disks, made backups and there are no problems accessing the files. PP2000 seems to have half installed after receiving an error. I am unable to remove the installed data via windows or the install file. It says all has been removed but it remains. I just want to remove everything and start from fresh but I can't even do that.Cheers daffy.

Re: Peugeot Planet
I'm not knowledgeable about how VMWare works, but I wonder whether the antivirus of your native OS might be having an effect.
In the light of your problem, to start again I think you will have to create another virtual machine, which means installing XP again. You can have multiple VMs under the Player (and you can even have them running simultaneously!). If you are concerned about disk space, you can just delete the VM you have.
If none of that works, maybe one of us can find out how the VM is stored on the drive - I'm wondering if I could copy my VM and you could just import it. I know it is possible, as I bought the Peugeot Docs and SEDRE in that form.

Re: Peugeot Planet
It can be a right bitch to install......
2 laptops several days for me, even now it only runs on 1 (old laptop) new laptop will not run, installed OK, but gives error cable not connected
Do not run "set up", run "Lanceur" to install. It can take a long time to fully install. You may even think it has not installed properly, but it can have.
When activating. Note that you may find you cannot fined the link at the bottom of the screen. You need to resize the screen (in vmware) to allow you to pull the box down to allow you to see the icons at the bottom.
Then when entering the signup details use copy and paste
