Drivers door handle not working.

Today, suddenly, I can't open the drivers door from the outside - the handle just doesn't feel like it's doing anything. Central locking working fine, as is the passenger door. I can reach through from the passengers side and open the drivers door, or through the window if its open.

Any ideas or pointers?

I think the handle connects to the door lock mechanism via a rod, which may have come off or corroded away.

You need to remove the trim from the inside of the door to see what's what.
