Good morning, im going to do a coolamt flush on my 2006 1.6 206cc as the coolant is a brown colour amd the car hasn't been driven in about 7 months.
Can anyone recomend the best way to do the flush? And is 2L of antifreeze enough to fill it back up
Thank you
Coolant change

Re: Coolant change
Orangy-brown seems to be quite standard for Peugeot's recommended coolant, but no bad thing to do a change. The instruction are on our site: http://www.peugeot206cc.co.uk/repair-20 ... gg0rk3.htm.
Where you see a special Peugeot filling funnel (needed to get extra head to drive the air out), you can, instead, unship the header tank and support it as high as it will go. You WILL need to do either of those things.
Capacity is 7 +/- 0.25 litres.
Once you have drained everything, you can unship the header tank and scrub it out with a suitable brush. Hopefully you will then be able to see the marks. When the tank is back in position, it is not level, so you have to look at the side to get a correct reading. All part of the charm of Peugeot
Keep an eye on the level for the first week or two, and top up if required. The air can take quite a time to be completely removed. If the topping up goes on for longer, you probably have a leak.

I was always told to reverse flush. So get a hose pipe up the top rad hose and run water through. Then after filling up, run engine with the caps removed to allow any air to escape.
