Heater Blower
My Wifes 206cc has developed a fault on the heater blower.
Now its cold, she uses it all the time (on full probably) but she says its intermittent.
She thinks it works on and off (but she cannot remember if its just stopped completely)
Any Ideas

Re: Heater Blower
I believe the problem is usually a resistor which is used to control the speed.
Google "Peugeot 206 Heater Fan Resistor" for parts and video.

Re: Heater Blower
My Wife's heater control is electronic push button where the blower increases in increments show fan blades on a screen increasing in number as it speeds up.
The video link shows the manual turn knob type !

Re: Heater Blower
Your model appears to use a reduction gear unit, so it could be that causing the problem. Or it could be the electronics "confused". To "unconfuse", perform a BSI reboot. Instructions here.petethepond wrote:My Wife's heater control is electronic push button where the blower increases in increments show fan blades on a screen increasing in number as it speeds up.

Re: Heater Blower
But it is broke ! Although all the symbols light up there is no fan running ?
How do i get at the heater blower to change the resistor.
I removed the cover panel from under the glove box under the passengers foot well but cannot see the blower here ? and i have removed the fuse board cove and looked under & behind this but cannot see the blower here either?

Re: Heater Blower
I found a link in a previous thread and it says to remove the front of the glove box and the 7 retaining screws around the outside and drop the glove box down.
I have taken off the front and removed all of the screws (only seem to have 6) but the inside of the gloves box doesn't appear to have any movement on it ?

Re: Heater Blower
Just found another link (blimey, dont those little bu99ers hide away !) showing the 7th screw inside the glovebox ? ? ?
Motor now out but haven't a clue how to remove the fan blades from the motor to get at the resistor ?
I keep searching but found no links as of yet ?

Re: Heater Blower
Not My Type....My wife's heater control is digital and the resistor in my unit is on the back of the blower motor under the fan rotor and looks like a silver alloy horse shoe shaped hedgehog !
I need to remove the fan rotor to get at it

From the Service Box - unfortunately, there is no remove/replace procedure for it, but the pic may help. The list shows you have Item 04, but not 03.

Re: Heater Blower
On that diagramme My fan Blower Motor is only Part 1 and is located behind the glove box on a R/H drive Vehicle.
If i cannot remove the plastic rotor blades to get at the resistor i will need to re[place the whole motor blower unit

Re: Heater Blower
Did you try the BSI reboot?
You could also try posting on http://www.peugeotforums.com/forums/206-35/, as that will reach 206 hatchback owners with climate control aka automatic air conditioning.
