Guys,
I am new here and please forgive me if do not explain my problem properly. Have 206 1.4 petrol automatic car, no central locking, while people replacing fuel injector developed electrical problem which seems only main dealer can do something about it. Car is running fine only occasionally during driving lights flicker couple times and wipers go on for couple runs while this happened all dashboard gauge shut down for a few second. Does anyone know the reasons and where I should start. Thanks in advance

Thank you Capncol for your suggestions, have checked most of the connection only have not checked (a bit difficult to access) connections to injectors. So far did not make any difference.

Re: electrical problem 206
If it still has that awful quick release on the positive battery terminal, double-check it is clamping really tightly .. I've known a couple of cars to fail to start and have no power due to that.
On one we got hold of some silver cooking foil from a pub spamspam to pack out between the terminal and the clamp to make it tighter .. as far as I know that was still like it two years later when they sold the 206!

Re: electrical problem 206
In that case, one would suspect the COM2000 (control unit under the steering wheel) and its connections.

Re: electrical problem 206
I would agree Ian, except for "all dashboard gauge shut down for a few second" which shouldn't be caused by comm 2000

Re: electrical problem 206
But the COMM2000 sits on the data highway between the engine compartment fusebox and the instrument panel, so, if the COMM2000 is scrambling data, it could interrupt data flow to the panel. Worth a try

Re: electrical problem 206
It's a £300 guess though. I would want to eliminate all else first.
Cheers Col.

Could be an intermittent defect in the databus wiring to the unit.Capncol wrote:It's a £300 guess though. I would want to eliminate all else first.
EDIT:
If the COM2000 is the cause, there is a repair service offered here.
