Multifunction Display & Trip Computer flashing

Post by magichands »

Hi, my battery died last night when trying to start my 206cc, I left it an hour and tried again and it managed to start.
But now the central multifunction Display & Trip Computer is flashing the time and date and it won't display any information.
I've tried resetting the usual way you would adjusting the time/date on the stalk on the dash but no luck.

Anyone know a way to reset this?

Thanks.

There's 2 small buttons (one either side of the display) you need to press and hold down the one on the left then use the other one to scroll thro' the various settings.
It is really quite simple !
The owners handbook tells you exactly how to do all this and if you don't have one then there's one somewhere within this site that you can look at/download.

Thanks John, but not sure if you misread or didn't understand.

I said I tried resetting the usual way in my OP, I know how to do it as have changed the time twice a year.

If you unattach your battery and then reattach it, we'll both be in the same boat and then you'll see what I mean.

Don't know if you disconnected the battery to charge it up but does sound like you flattened the battery thus resulting in the display constantly flashing at you.
Have you tried doing a proper battery disconnect and reconnect.
I replaced my battery a couple of weeks ago and when I reconnected it the display flashed and I then reset it as I previously said (not using the stalk button as this is for just scrolling through the display etc and not as far as I'm aware resetting language, temp units radio stations etc) I could of course be wrong !
Failling all this then I too am at a loss
