noise levels

Since I haven't driven a 206 CC but only read some test reports I would like to have some comments from you guys and gal's who already own one.

How are the noise levels in the car?
At what speed do things get noisy, with the roof up and down. Also what's this thing I read about the stability when the roof is down, is that a cabriolet thing in general ?

Also, what are the good things about the car ( not the looks ) and what are the bad things ? Roll'em down those opinions

Nope, dont think its much noice in the car, but then I have no winsows rattle either...

How you think the car is to drive depends on what you are used to I guess... Im used to drive a much softer station wagon, therefore I think the cc feels stiff and like it is glued to the road... I like it and I can drive much faster in the curves with the cc then the station wagon...

There is a 1.6l motor in both of my cars.. the engine in the cc is much sportier then the station wagons engine. This + the stiffness make the car realy fun to drive on the curvy norwegian roads...

Besides that, is obviously the roof... Nothing is like driving a cab in nice weather

And dont forget the price.... here in Norway its the cheapest cab you can by...

But the main thing here for mee is the roof... guess i could found a lot of cars wich would be fun to drive for the same price... but there is only one cab

Ps.
I tried the megane cab with the "same" motor as the in the cc. The car felt like a family car... not the same feeling as in the cc when speeding up, braking down or in the curves...

ups.... forgot the only bad thing... my cc leaks

Does the windows rattle happen in a lot of 206 cc's ? Anyone ?

it leaks ? Well , glad for you that it hardly ever rains in Bergen, so that won't be much of a problem for you

Well I have the 2.0 litre SE registered Oct 2001. I don't notice the car being noisy at all at lower speeds. With the roof up at any speed, my Pug doesn't seem different to any other hard roof coupe.

I can honestly say I haven't noticed scuttle shake at all on my Pug (unlike other cabriolets) with very little vibration felt through the steering wheel.
I wouldn't say the Pug is noisier than any other cabriolet at speed with the roof down, infact its probably a lot quieter than most, due to the excellent windstopper minimising the cabin wind turbulance.

Though I have my Pug up for sale I would say that overall its an excellent cabriolet I would recommend.

The thing about stability in Cabrios was explained to me like this:

Imagine a shoebox...with the lid on it is a very sturdy box, minimum flex and a lot of strength.
Take the lid off the box - not so sturdy, lots of flex, strength drastically reduced.

For a simple man like me, this made sense.

As for scuttle-shake? Minimal on the CC in my opinion...
